Hi there!
My name is Taylor Fisher, and I’m a campus recruiter at Bloomberg!
Here at Bloomberg, we’re still actively hiring entry-level (0-3 years of experience) full-time software engineers into our New York, NY offices!
Do you all have any graduating seniors looking for software engineering positions?
We’re looking for seniors with a background/degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or strong familiarity with programming.
If you have a resume book of students still exploring full-time opportunities, that would be greatly appreciated! I’d love to reach and out and connect with these students to share more with them about the opportunity.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Taylor

Robotics Room Assistants Needed. The position involves several different jobs:
• Prepping LEGO Robots for Class Use (Installing software, preparing robot kits, etc. – may include some LEGO building, but most of the equipment is built) [big push at start of the year]
• Equipment Room Organization and Cataloging – previous students have gotten started on this effort but there’s a lot more to do – some of this is intellectual (planning / figuring out how to catalog stuff) and a lot of it is … well … organizing LEGO. Gets to be sort of meditative if you listen to your own music but not super exciting [ongoing … lots of this]
• Help with maintaining MOOCs – Dr. Kay has two MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) for middle school teachers that mostly run on auto-pilot but occasionally need some tweaking. http://rowan.edu/cs4hs [a few times a year]
• Figuring out interfaces / Writing Documentation I’d like to put together some additional documentation / improve the existing documentation for using these robots with Python.
Required Skills:
• You must be organized and self-motivated.
• Must be a strong programmer. Knowledge of Python is a plus, but not required.
Not required, but would be nice:
• Python programming experience
• VSCode IDE experience
• Experience with Google Cloud APIs
Programmer Needed - YouTube data scraper Computer Science Department
Dr. Kay needs someone who can write code that extracts data about a set of YouTube videos. Please don’t apply for this position before taking a look at the YouTube API and writing a piece of code that is able to extract some data about a video that you own. For example, write a program that takes as input:
A YouTube video
It’s ok for it to be one that you own if you like
You specify the video via URL or any other method you like
A Start date (year/month/day)
An End date (year/month/day)
and prints out a list of the number of views per day between those two dates (inclusive)
Please send email with your name, banner ID number, and why you believe you would be a strong candidate to computerscience@rowan.edu
